Have you ever seen one of those midweek travel documentaries with two hosts bumbling (in the charming way) through the smaller cities of a country that Anthony Bourdain forgot about? That’s the one liner for our love story.

We met (shoutout Hinge) when Will was living in Winston Salem North Carolina and bonded over shared careers in medicine and Will’s inability to work an inward facing door.

After what we dubbed ‘the Trial run’ where Cassidy and her dog Oakley stayed in Winston for a month we chose the opportune time of the night before a weeklong international vacation to move Will into her apartment in Greensboro. After a year of living together in Greensboro we decided that we were in this for the long haul and moved together when Will found out that he was going to be moving to Greenville, NC for a year.

In Greenville we learned to lean on each other through the good times and the bad. We grew together even though for a large portion of the year our jobs in medicine kept us on opposite schedules, working nights, weekends, and holidays. And finally - after multiple previous attempts including one foiled by a natural disaster - Will asked Cassidy to marry him on Christmas Eve 2024.

We have settled down (for now) in Fayetteville with our dogs Loretta (aka BGR) and Oakley and couldn’t be happier. We are so excited to share our journey here and the path forward with all of you and look forward to seeing you on October 23rd for a short vacation to Raleigh to tie the knot!
